#ColonelsComeBack is a grassroots effort organized to promote the return of the Kentucky Colonels to professional basketball. A Colonels Comeback is good for the city of Louisville, the commonwealth of Kentucky, and the area of Southern Indiana. We are passionate about basketball, and we deserve to have our own NBA team.
Our Team
Home tot he some of the most passionate fans in the league, the Kentucky Colonels have more wins than any other team in the ABA and even have a winning record against NBA teams in interleague play. In 1975, the Colonels won an ABA Championship and later that year beat the reigning NBA Champions in what was billed the Super Bowl of Basketball. Despite their success, the Colonels were not asked to join the NBA unlike some of their rivals in the ABA--the Nets, the Spurs, the Nuggets, and of course, the Pacers. We seek to right this injustice.

We are promoting the team through meetings, interviews, press, social media, and other avenues of advocacy. Out main activity is on Twitter, so be sure to follow us.
